Unlike the heat exchanger, cheap, versions that take a long time to start chilling.
This can play a ice-cream truck tune when done.
You can select your serve style in fractional increments.
Has pre chill and more features.
I like that you can make custard with peaches and the peaches won't be rock hard by the time it is serving time.
Recipes are very diverse. Sugar and fat ratios are more important then initially imagined. It isn't easy to make "healthy" ice-cream that isn't teeth chilling ice milk.
You may want to experiment with melted store bought ice cream for a while.
